Prevention and education, the treatment to our health system

Today I will talk about a very important topic, a topic that include all the health system of anywhere, or should be include in every health system.

There are many reasons to think that prevention is the solution to many of the health system problems. First, nobody enjoy being sick, so if the health service help people to avoid the diseases, those healthy people will be more happy and thankful to the system. Second, a healthy lifestyle is very similar to everybody, so the health professionals will be very confident in the prevention methods results, instead the insecurity around a possible treatments for a possible disease. And the last point that I going to present, the prevention programs costs are cheaper than treatments costs, so execute a prevention health programs could reduce the maintaining costs of an effective health system.

The education is very important because it is estimate that something like the 75% of the healthy of people depends on each one, and something like 25% depends on the health system. The health professionals should teach people how to take care of that 75% that depends on themselves.

The health professionals would help with their commitment to people, to educate the people who visit them. I mean, this kind of health service revolution have to have a community susceptible to work with, the people most trust that prevention is better than healing.

MORFO, a stone in my shoe.

It can be said a lots of things about "morfologia aplicada a la clinica (morphology)" or as I call it MORFO.

First, morfo is a subject that includes 4 subjects that are very different. They are: Anatomy, Neuro Anatomy, Histology and Embryology. Neuro Anatomy was a good subject, it was hard but it wasn't only a memory exercise to my brain, but even there were a lots of things that have to been learned by heart. But the other 3 subjects were almost only a memory task, especially Anatomy, the one I hate. I don't like to read something that I have to memorize, I like to apply knowledge and develop new skills. Maybe this could be the reason why Physiology is so interestingly for me.

But I'm grateful to morfo, because it was so hard that it changed the way I study. I mean, in the school nothing was really difficult, I Finish all my years without an real effort but without any recognition. Now, after my first year, I really work more hard.
